Join us for a day of fun, fellowship, and fundraising at the Community In Christ Golf Outing on

September 21st, 2026 at Verdict Ridge Golf Club in Denver, NC. This event will not only test your golf skills on a beautiful course, but also support our youth ministry programs.

The goal of this event is to raise funds that provide our youth with meaningful and impactful

experiences that help them grow in their faith and become leaders in our church and community.

 

This past year our youth participated in the following events and service projects:

 

​1. Rally Sunday: The kickoff to the Sunday School year had an extra level of excitement with the addition of various inflatables that were purchased via golf funds.

 

2. White Water Center: This annual event gathers Middle and SR High students for an opportunity of adventure, bonding, and memories.

 

3. Light the Knights: After a long 1st semester of school, Middle and SR High students had an opportunity to reconnect before Christmas and enjoy some ice skating, tubing, and conversation at the Charlotte Knight's stadium.

 

4. Lutheran Youth Organization: At the end of February, our Middle and SR high students

 

got to participate in a Synod wide gathering for a weekend in Greensboro.  Old and new friendships blossomed in a unique faith-filled and student led program.

 

5. Agape Day Camp: Participants in this quality Christian programing had their expenses greatly reduced for this week-long summer Day Camp event.  The Middle School volunteered at the Good Karma Ranch, Angels & Sparrows, Bridge of Hearts, and Piedmont Animal Rescue.    

 

6. Gathering Expedition: SR High students got to spend a week at Lutheridge (Arden, NC) where they got to meet other teenagers from across the country as they grew in their faith and got to serve and play alongside each other.​

 

By participating in this golf outing, you will be making a direct impact on the lives of our youth. CIC.  Youth programs that this fundraising event supports are; ELCA’s Youth Gathering trip (Senior High youth), the CIC White Water Center Trip (Middle School and High School youth), CIC Rally Sunday and End of Sunday School Year Fun Day (pre-school and elementary youth).

​The 2026 CIC Golf Outing Event will kick off with donuts & coffee with registration starting at 8:30am followed by a shotgun start. After golf, join us for our golf awards and raffle luncheon . There will also be opportunities to win amazing prizes. You won't want to miss out on this exciting day!
