Habitat For Humanity Register Here
Communtiy in Christ partners with Habitat for humanity to build houses for those in need. We typically raise funds for one build a year and devote one saturday to volunteering. Many members of the church serve throughout hte year with Habitat as well as their ministry.
Our build for 2018 will take place on August 4th at 310 Clover Street in Mooresville. To volunteer you'll need to register with Habitat for Humanity and then click through the sign-up links. That process begins here

Workday Schedule:

7:45 AM –Volunteer check-in/ registration, orientation, safety talk and task assignment.

8:00 AM – Work day begins

10:30 AM – Break time (snack and water provided)

10:45 AM – Return to work

1:00 PM – Site Clean up

Please dress comfortably and appropriately for the setting and weather (long pants/shorts - loose fitting, closed-toe shoes or work boots).

Complete the volunteer waiver form and bring it with you to the build site. This form is required for all Habitat construction projects.

We like to keep our volunteers engaged and safe, so please stick to the required number of volunteers needed for each task. If you can only work a partial day, we ask that you come first thing in the morning and then leave early if you need to. Due to safety reasons, we ask the volunteers NOT to show up in the middle of the work day.

Snacks and beverages will be provided. Please bring a water bottle for refills.

If you sign up to volunteer for a build day and can't make it, please remove your name from the Volunteer Up calendar or contact Volunteer Program Manager at 704.361.8143.

Construction volunteers should show up RAIN OR SHINE once you have committed to a build day. Although we try to maintain the schedule listed, occasionally poor weather or unforeseen delays will interrupt our schedule or a task. We will make every effort to let you know ahead of time if your task assignment has changed. Cancellations or delays will be posted on Volunteer Up.
