Friday- The Day of Epiphany

O God, on this day you revealed your Son to the nations by the leading of a star. Lead us now by faith to know your presence in our lives, and bring us at last to the full vision of your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Matthew 2:9-11

9-10 Instructed by the king, the wise men set off. Then the star appeared again, the same star they had seen in the eastern skies. It led them on until it hovered over the place of the child. They could hardly contain themselves: They were in the right place! They had arrived at the right time!

11 They entered the house and saw the child in the arms of Mary, his mother. Overcome, they kneeled and worshiped him. Then they opened their luggage and presented gifts: gold, frankincense, myrrh.

Today is the day of Epiphany when we remember the story of the wise men who followed a special star to find Jesus in Bethlehem. The word 'epiphany' means to have an 'aha' moment when you suddenly understand something that might have been a mystery to you before. Who or what helps you understand Jesus today?
