PRAY

Roll the prayer cube for the prayer or use Sunday’s Prayer of the Day-

Holy God of compassion, you invite us into your way of forgiveness and peace. Lead us to love our enemies, and transform our words and deeds to be like his through whom we pray, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Matthew 5:44-45

“You’re familiar with the old written law, ‘Love your friend,’ and its unwritten companion, ‘Hate your enemy.’ I’m challenging that. I’m telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does.

Why do you think Jesus challenges us to love our enemies? Can you imagine a world where Chrsitians were known for this kind of radical love?
