19-21 “Don’t hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or—worse!—stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it’s safe from moth and rust and burglars. It’s obvious, isn’t it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.
Treasure in heaven can be things like kindness, generosity, sharing, friendships, helpfulness, patience, feeding the hungry, visiting the lonely and things like that. Why does Jesus encourage us to store up those kinds of treasures instead of earthly kinds of treasure like money, tvs, x-boxes, toys, cars, boats, etc?
Which treasure chest of yours is more full, the one on earth or the one in heaven? What can you do today to put more treasure in the heavenly treasure chest?
